(Moab-Monticello Utah)- Two area residents have recently been convicted of major assault charges in 7th District Court. Frank Joseph Jesse, aged 67 was sentenced in Monticello to one to 15 years in state prison for sexual abuse of a child. Similar charges in Grand County were dropped inn exchange for his plea in the San Juan case. Reportedly he had numerous sexual encounters with an underage child in both counties. In Moab, local resident, 31 yr old James Paul Ford was sentenced to 1 to 15 years for assaulting the mother of his children in their presence, threatening to kill her but cutting her throat with a knife.
