Study Breaks Down Options For Future Of Utah State Fair

Utah Fair(Salt Lake City, UT)  —  The options for the future of the Utah State Fair are being outlined by a new study.  Director Kristen Cox of the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget was at the State Building Board meeting yesterday and says the current lease is ending at the State Fair Park.

Q…some decisions made.      000:04 The study gave options from continuing the fair with the current conditions, which would cost more than 30-million dollars over the next 20 years, to building a new fair park, costing 160-million dollars.  Another option being considered is selling the 67 acres of land and moving from county-to-county each year.  The final decision will be made by the state legislature.
