medical(Moab Utah)- There is an increased number of Norovirus cases in Grand County over the past 10 days. The Southeastern Utah District health Department says Norovirus is a common cause of diarrhea, stomach cramps and vomiting and nausea. It usually last for 2 to 3 days.  The health Department says the virus is easily transmittable through improper handling of food and drink and is very hearty and can live for long periods on surfaces if not properly cleaned.  The Health Department recommends cleaning possible infected areas using a mask and gloves and a mild bleach solution. They recommend that sick individuals stay home from work.
