Corona Arch(Salt Lake City, UT)  —  A Utah congressman is proposing a compromise to settle the heated fight over land.  Republican Rob Bishop says his proposal could be a solution for nearly 18-million-acres of land in eastern Utah now under dispute.  Bishop says his bill involves “land swaps” in which high-value wilderness is exchanged for land that can be developed.  Observers say the idea is a long shot but Bishop is hopeful the bill will be introduced this January.
