Governor Touts Armed National Guard In Utah

220px-Gary_Herbert_crop(Salt Lake City, UT)  —  Following last week’s fatal shootings in Tennessee, Governor Herbert says he’s glad there are new policies on the books that allow the National Guard in Utah to carry weapons.  The governor says the new policy was adopted about a year ago, and now he’s asking Major General Jeff Burton to explore other ways to protect our servicemen and women.  Five people were killed at a Navy recruiting center last Thursday, before the gunman was shot and killed.
