Geocaching Can Causes Bomb Scare

(Spring City, UT)  —  It turns out a mysterious can that evacuated a neighborhood in Utah County’s Spring City this morning was an item used in the activity “geocaching.”  A bomb squad was called to an area near a baseball field when an ammunition can was found partially buried and chained to a monument.  Police say ammo cans are common in the activity and usually contain trinkets for players to exchange with each other.  Geocachers use GPS coordinates to find items left by other players around the world.
