Foster Farms Clarifies Recall

foster_farms(Livingston, CA)  —  A poultry producer linked to a year-old outbreak of antibiotic-resistant salmonella in Utah and other states is clarifying which products are covered in its current chicken recall.  Foster Farms says the recall includes fresh and frozen chicken products with “use or freeze by” dates ranging from March 16th through March 31st, 2014 and August 29th, 2015 thorough September 2nd, 2015.  The recall also covers frozen Sunland Chicken products with “best by” dates ranging from March 7th through March 31st, 2015 and August 29th, 2015 through September 2nd, 2015.  The chicken was shipped to stores in California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
