(Salt Lake City, UT) — New polling numbers show Democrat Doug Owens is closing the gap on Republican Mia Love in the race for Utah’s Fourth Congressional District. Morgan Lion Cotte [[ COT-ee ]] with the Hinckley Institute of Politics says Love’s name recognition isn’t all positive.
The poll showed Love has a favorable rating of over 50-percent, but her unfavorable rating is high at 42-percent. Owens, however, had both a lower favorable and unfavorable rating because the people polled said they didn’t know enough about him. Owens hopes Love’s unfavorable rating is enough for him to make the November election a close race.
