(Moab Utah)- A regional airline that previously served Moab and two small charter firms are proposing air service to Moab under the FAA’s essential air service contract. The new bids were sought when Skywest recently announced it was phasing out its prop driving aircraft and switching to an all jet fleet. Great Lakes aviation is proposing using a 30 passenger turboprop aircraft, larger than the one it serviced Moab with before. It plans two flights a day to Denver International. Red Tail Aviation and Boutique Air plan flight to Salt Lake General Aviation Terminal using 9 passenger planes.
